Talking about a busy weekend…
Lansdowne Bhoys will play in two finals this weekend, the USASA Region I Amateur Cup final against Junior Lone Star F.C at 7:00 p.m. at Ukrainian American Sports Center in Pennsylvania and the USASA Region I Werner Fricker Cup final against reigning champions Christos F.C on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the same venue.
Lansdowne midfielder Sikele “Kele” Sylvester is itching to step on the pitch to help his side win the regional titles.
"I'm so ready, you don't even know. I'm not leaving without two trophies, I'm coming for everything," Kele said laughing. "It would really mean a lot to win these two cups and we're looking forward to do so. It would mean a lot to the club because we never won a regional final before. So everyone's mood is in gear mode for these two big games."
This weekend's finals will be the Bhoys' third final this season as they previously blanked Shamrock SC 2-0 in the Manning Cup final. The Irish based club had the opportunity to reach a fourth final this season, the CSL final, but they were knocked out by NY Greek Americans 1-0 in semifinal.
The two championship games will take time 24 hours apart from each other. Kele noted that he and his players are well trained to take on this task.
"Everyone is mentally and physically ready, everyone is looking forward to bringing these two trophies home," the midfielder said.

Lansdowne's opponent's in the Fricker Cup final, Christos, astoundingly reached the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup, which they lost to D.C United 4-1 on Tuesday.
The Baltimore side also defeated the Bhoys in the Region I Amateur Cup final last year 1-0.
"I can't wait to get revenge," Kele said laughing. "I'm ready to face them again, they are a wonderful team that works hard together."
As mentioned Lansdwone won the Manning Cup earlier this month, hence two wins this weekend will lead them to a treble consisting of three trophies they never won before.
